Chickadee Music Together
Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for infants,
toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them. First offered to the public in 1987,
it pioneered the concept
of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement. Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical.

Our Teachers

At Chickadee Music Together, our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children. We create a fun, informal setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development. Our program combines a commitment to professional, high-quality instruction with an understanding of what appeals to children and helps them grow!

Mary Anne Aiello

Mary Anne Aiello, Chickadee Music Director, has enjoyed many years of singing and dancing with young children as an early childhood educator and elementary school teacher. She believes in the magic of music in children's lives and the power of musical experience to bring families and communities together. She earned graduate teaching certification from Pacific Oaks College and completed Music Together training with Lili Levinowitz, co-author of Music Together, in 2001 and has been sharing the joy of Music Together with Seattle families ever since. Mary Anne sings with the Phinney Neighborhood Community Chorus and has great appreciation for American and world music traditions. She enjoys playing the recorder and piano, and is learning to play the ukulele. Mary Anne is thrilled to be a part of the Music Together community as a parent, teacher and center director!

Sarah Nishioka

Sarah Nishioka became a registered Music Together instructor after completing training in 2001 with Lili Levinowitz, co-author of Music Together and has been teaching with Chickadee Music Together ever since! Sarah brings many years of experience and talents to our program, including teaching in preschool co-ops, The Homeschool Resource Center and homeschooling her own children. She teaches with a conviction that the language of music, dance and art are a vital component of true education. Sarah has added to her repertoire and is now teaching pre-piano and group piano lessons to children ages 4-9 in her home studio. Sarah's Montessori training and Evergreen College Early Childhood Education studies are reflected in her age-appropriate style of teaching and she thoroughly enjoys the Music Together experience!

Aria Prame

We are thrilled to welcome Aria Prame to the Chickadee Music Together teaching team! Aria completed the Music Together training in August 2011 with Lili Levinowitz, co-author of Music Together. Aria is excited to teach Music Together as it combines the two things she knows best: children and music. Aria has a Bachelor's degree from Boston University in Special Education and years of experience working with children of all ages. While in Boston, Aria pursued her love of music by singing with various groups and studying privately with teachers at the New England Conservatory. After arriving in Seattle she taught preschool and continued to work in music as a jazz vocalist. Aria sings at many venues in and around Seattle and her first CD "Lost and Lookin'" debuted in November 2011. Aria teaches private vocal lessons from her home in Queen Anne and sings back-up vocals for the Funk and Soul band "Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme".
